About the Artist

Exploration and immersion of natural and historic modes define the work of this collaborative mother/son duo artists team. They scour for shapes, abstract and textural elements together with the connectivity of light, shadows, and reflections.

Scouting from around the world to their backyard they snowshoe, ski, hike, boat, and don waders. Light sources are frequently used to capture their tableaux through the camera lens via the technique known as light painting. Location work begins their artistic process with fulfillment coming long after digital dark room editing, developing and post-processing multiple layers of images. Their unique method delivers a highly nuanced stylized body of work evoking an interpretive emotional response.

Linda trained in darkroom techniques at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, MI while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, continued study at the Sorbonne University of Paris in Paris, France, and was tutored by National Geographic in Sienna, Italy and on an Around the World excursion. Linda obtained a Juris Doctor and practiced law while continuing to develop the intensity of her eye and passion for photography.

Theodore received a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University, in Granville, OH with artistic study at FAMU, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and significant experience in the cinema industry.

Linda remembers giving Teddy his first camera at the age of 3 and marveling at his precocious skills.
